From 7th to 9th February the Ministry of External Affairs is organising the Conference of Heads of Mission, which would be addressed by the Prime Minister.

Inputs are required from our diaspora on the following issues:

(A) What additional services would you like the Indian Embassies to provide you?

(B) Tell us things that should be introduced in the Indian Embassies that enhance your connectivity with India.

( C ) What are the services that can be further improved at the Indian Embassy in your respective countries?

(D) Share your positive experiences at Embassies of other countries, be it in terms of services, experience, facilities etc.

I just went through the experience of so many NRI with our Embassies and one clear cut outcome is that none is happy with their services.Interestingly this exercise is good but when so many guys are complaining by describing their experience,it would be difficult to go and read each and every complaint and come to conclusion. The Embassy service in Qatar/Omen is even worse.Let me highlight few issues that i have comethrough. 1. Just read through the link which is an epic example for our embassy abroad working condition http://www.emirates247.com/news/region/india-to-investigate-maid-s-death-at-muscat-airport-2010-10-12-1.302995 Like these many of our indian citizen are dieing everyday. This women can be saved by our emabssy in qatar or Oman by just sending an emergency letter to Airport authorties

In Saudi Arabia our embassy officers need to provide healthy services for our citizen starting with good respects, Service time also need to be extend, absolutely no courtesy to the citizens. not only in saudi all over the world we as a indian need good services from embassy because they are working for us not for them example please check Philippine embassy how they provide their 200% confidence services to them to encourage their nationalites.

Birmingham embassy UK Following are my observations about birmingham embassy My firend had lost her passport while in a club, we tried indian high commission 24 hours number, no one picked up 5 counters cater to 150+ people, you can imagine the mess being handled by INDIAN CIVIL SERVANTS, britishers at the embassy were disgusted I saw people there pleading for emergence visa to see last rights of their loved once, and babu's there were helpless because NEW Delhi didnt care according to them

aur ek suvidha honi chahiye kenya ke indian embassy me woh he parking space jbhi hamko embassy me jana ho tab parking ka bahot problem hota he aur yaha ka jo indian emabassy ka incharge he usko 1year me indian citizens ke sath meeting karni chahiye uska problem jan neki kosis karni chahiye...yeh to kabhi hota hi nahi he es liye kisiko pata bhi nahi chalta ki yaha kitne indian citizen he usko kya taklif he..aur dusre embassy ki facilities toh bahot achi he..yah ke employee to rudly bat karte he.

kenya ke embassy me beth ne ki bhi jaga nahi he aur kitne logo ko khada rahena parta he aur timing problem he mere khayal se 2 department bana dijiye jese ki passport collection ke liye aur dusra passport bana ne ke liye aur working hours 8 honi chahiye kyuki yaha pe traffic ka bahot problem he to log time par pahoch nahi pate he...

me kenya se hoo yaha ke indian embassy ke employee bahot heran karte ke aur kam bhi bahot slow karte he hame kitni der tak line pe khada rahena parta he aur bat yeh he ke yaha ka indian high commison to jese koi garib ke gar me aaye he vesa lagta he to iska kuch kijiye

Jab bhi Thailand se bodh gaya k ley tour jata he to airport pe Indian immigration wale pesey mangtey he,bina pesey ley wo jane nahi dete,unka kush kro malik.
