Well I must say that the Indian Embassies abroad treat their own citizen as they are a burden on them. They don't respect their own citizens abroad and treat them like they are burden to them. I have been to many other country's embassies and they always give priority to their own citizens first no matter what and always give respect. Embassy represent your own country when abroad and its the treatment which decides how your own govt treats you.

I am proud to be an Indian and more proud to say that we do NOT have "Red Tape". From personal experience, I realized that developed EU countries can take upto 225 days for declining a Visa application, despite me having a clear, legal, commercial contract to work there. Whereas, Indian Embassy in EU accept scanned documents, sent through e-mail. Who has Red Tape? Us or them? No Sir, we Indians are more accommodating than any other nation and I am proud.

In US the new agency responsible for the visa's is not upto the mark, the feedback that i have received from my brother and other friends is that the earlier agency was very efficient. Now the time taken for granting of Indian visa's has become much longer and the experience has been poor, they are puzzled why the change to the new agency. Even the feedback of UK visa agency is not very good.

Experience of Regional Passport Office Delhi : my daughter applied for passport in 2013. every document/verification completed, but passport not given in 2013. it was given in 2014 after complaints to CPGRAMS (public grievance portal). Where is good governance, if there is no fear in minds of staff of RPO/PassportSewaKendra that they will lose their job, if there is delay/harassment of citizens. Similar harassment/bribery is found in Protector of Emigration office.Where is good governance?

Indian Embassies must provide 24x7x365 Helpline Service with docket numbers to each caller so one can have the proof for their grievance registrations.
