India has around 11k HAM radio operators, youth in the country are more technology savy and they would get involved in disaster management if we could provide them a tool which would involve them in technological activities. I believe providing optional Amateur radio exams alongside the schools exams would get them involved and help to boost their technological skills.

1]students of graduation, from first year on words should train highschool syudents about "dos and donts" during any disaster. 2] mock drills on the same should be made compulsory at all school and college levels and thos should be randomly called upon by govt officers. 3] duration of such mocks should be shortest possible say 20 to 30 mints and should be conducted at every 6 months.so that students should know the seriousness of the issue 4]such mocks should be mandotary for apartments.

inspire from a news article "Rainwater could help Indians save rupees: NASA data" i thought on the rainy day some of indian river create flood situation. In order to avoid this:- 1.On the flood situation by the water pump suck out extra water from the river and reserve it on water reservoir(20-30crore liter handled each may be more) 2.Benefit on sunny day irrigation, drinking water and many more.

1.Create local bodies for disaster management. 2. Voluntary groups can be formed similar to friends of police and they can be trained on disaster management and first aid on who can act during disaster. 3. Reward citizens who contribute in form of providing information or support to disaster mitigation. Recognition of those can be at various levels such as District, state & centre.
