In India even professional education is knowledge centric whereas all stream must be skill centric as per specification of employers. Soft skills such as communication, team building, leadership, problem solving and decision making must be given due weightage apart from domain skills. Curriculum must include more depth in limited domains than breadth so than mental faculties of students are challenged. Examination system must test problem solving skills rather than asking foe facts and figures.

I would like to urge our PM to order all universities (technical or non-technical) to follow on rule of giving % or cgpa for the engg. graduates. Also if entry through gate examinations in PSUs are made without the criteria of aggregate 60% or 65 % and only with suitable Gate scores.then It will be useful for many students to make it to PSUs. The reason why m writing this is that many students from some southern or northern universities easily score 70-80% while many r unable to score even 60 %
