From my experience of being a fresher myself and interacting and observing newly minted graduates in engineering industries and also in retail, I am of the firm opinion that "Soft Skills" development should be number one priority subject at pre-graduation level itself. Handling fellow human beings is of primary importance and THE most necessary skill in a real world.I would love to see this incorporated in the New Education Policy being formulated by the Modi govt.

I want that govt shall give attention on some skilled but without formal education. Please recognize skill of people who doesn't have formal degree and gave them status of senior secondary or ITI or Diploma Or B.Tech. However i know that it can come under the issue of corruption but it allows people to get part of mainstream and industry will get best talent.

8) Skill development can be empowered through many ways, here I would say one way. Can we work with our top class universities to have more and more students from abroad? The students will come from there and our young generation will have a new way of thinking, problem solving etc. while being with them. In addition, our universities can give them small projects inline to their specialization and have more ideas to solve the problems.

Herewith I am writing this letter to propose some ideas related to University academic program improvement and skill development in students. The first thing I would like to suggest you that we should start “Made in Indian University campaign” and we should encourage student as well as faculty to create things in Mewar University which can be utilised by them or to other department and by that approach we can save some resources and student will gain confidence that they can make something use

To Integrate Skill development in Higher Education. Academic councils of universities should have atleast 50% Industry representatives. Atleast 70% practical content in each course. Atleast 50% Teaching should be by Adjunct faculty from Industry. In order to encourage industry persons to join teaching liberal admission to be provided for them to join P.hd programs. For online &distance learning compulsory personal contact classes to be insisted for courses which require interaction with Faculty

In order to encourage students to join skill development courses ,request government to make necessary order to give grace marks in 10th ,12th Public exams and Degree and PG Exams for each government recognised relevant skill course passed by student.NSQF order be circulated urgently to all education Institutions and Universities to ask them to revise all ITI/Diploma/ degree/ PG diploma/PG Course to be compliant with NSQF,funding should be stopped to all courses which are not NSQF Compliant
