यात्री गाडि़यों के परिचालन संबंधित सूचना enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/ntes/, से प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन, 139 पर एसएमएस एवं आईवीआरएस के माध्यम से भी इससे संबंधित जानकारी प्राप्त की जा सकती है।

I am very satisfied with the NTES android app. It gives all the current information on local trains as well as long distance trains. But has not tested 139 dialling system. But the UTS mobile application for booking suburban tickets launched on web and android app serves only residents of Mumbai & Chennai. I need it in Kolkata too. I like to use any advanced system rather than standing in queue.

Nowadays robbery in trains is increasing ,even in AC coaches, while leaving stations or at stations.RPF javans should be trained well for dacoity and robberies,should be appointed in fair numbers inside every Train[this will increase jobs also].I have seen that no GRP or RPF person available in platforms in major stations at night, and available or doing his Duty on Needy moments.Please make--if Calling In 139 ;for any security matter, it links with nearest Station Post and sends Help soon

Public Address System or Display System should be introduced in trains to give various information (like which is the next station, what will be the stoppage time on next station, is the train running on time, if the train is running late then what is the delay time etc.) to the passengers so, that uncertainty among the passengers could be avoided. Also, coach position should be displayed in every station which is very much needed for the senior citizens and physically disabled.

I have noticed the following when I travel on a shatabdi from Mumbai to surat. We are served a big bottle of water but majority of the passengers drink less then half the bottle and rest goes to waste. I recommend giving out smaller bottles of water and the passengers who want more can ask for another one. If this is implemented on all trains in India we will save a lot of water, reduce plastic and water wastage and save a lot of money

Start updating the passenger through SMS about train details like which platform no., coach position, expected timings at bording point as well as arival destination. Passesnger should be also alerted through SMS or LED idicator or speeker announcements about next stops or coming stations specialy for AC coaches in long distance route because they are not aware about the status of train. All this SMS facitlity should be own given by railway dept without someone asking throug 139.
