Sir, We need a relook at raising resources through Estate Duty that is stepped up - even Mr. Bill Gates has spoken about this. This will bring into public goods what is held privately by a few. Exemptions provided for infrastructure, swach bharat, toilets, environment protection and any other public activity will reduce the pressure on fiscal deficit and help in equitable distribution of wealth and opportunities. Joint filing of household taxes will reduce cost and make filing easy.

Service taxes are inflationary and are a big burden to the common people as it increases their consumption cost without adding any value. Instead of adding more services under this, FM should consider easing out this draconian tax altogether.

Also educational deduction of ₹100/- P.M is a joke in today's expensive educational costs. Conveyence deduction fig is also small. Just ₹800/mth. Please be reasonable on all above issues considering today's costs of living.
