Crackers should not be brought in markets for selling. It should be banned. Use of public transport should be promoted to decrease carbon emissions. In many areas proper bus service is not there in Delhi only, so it should be increases. HOLI is coming so organic colours should be promoted, as chemical colours pollute soil as well as water and many people suffer from skin disease which will come down with use of organic colours.

1. Ban the usage of crackers at all places; it can be centralized like US. 2.Stop MPs, MLAs, ministers from using flights. They have opportunity to meet common people in trains so they can do their duty better if they go in trains. 3.Please cut off LTA, LTC for air travels made for locations having train-travel-duration of 10hrs.4.Encourage people to use cycles;publish ADs in all medias.5.Encourage people to switch off all electrical items when not needed.6.Ban smoking or increase tax 10-fold.

Environment conservation is one of the moral responsibility of citizens.Judicious use of natural resources and fossil fuels like petroleum products, use of low carbon emitting vehicles etc can significantly contribute in combating with global warming and climate change.Incentivising public to use solar devices can significantly help in dealing with climate change.

In the campus selection for Engineers, lady chemical engineers are not at all considered just on a gender basis, quoting Indian Factories act 1948. I have 2 suggestions : 1. Speed up the proposed amendment to the above act permitting ladies to work round the clock, in this year when we showcased ‘sthree sakthi’ 2. As a special case, ask all PSU cos to induct girls in this year itself, even before the above amendment is passed – even this may call for reviewing the current selection list.
