Encourage people for plantation, in front of their house , on their terrace/gallery. Municipal corporation can provide plants and other require things, give guidance , and some relief in taxes for those who are planting in their house.Every internal road in a colony should have 1-2 feet reserve area in front of every house so people can use that for plantation.

There is only the simplest way to protect Environment is Plantation,start and take initiative from School boys and give one day saturday to go for plantation in Road side area and start at first from their school to house.

Public Participation in Green India should be as follows:-1) Encourage Farmer and people in Village for farming(by providing free Grain bread,Interest free loan,New Technology so that they can not be dependent on Labour force etc).2) Provide free tress for plantation(when I was child and seen many people going Block office to get Trees for plantation),Fruit processing at season like in Muzaffarpur,Bihar,Lichii is so famous fruit and we don't have proper facility to preserve/Sell / processing.

Others are less obvious - by-products that go into the manufacture of other everyday items like medicines, cosmetics and detergents.

The need of the hour is to capture Methane gas and convert it into energy for consumption. Currently lost in the air due to no proper mechanism an effort in this direction can help reduce dependence on coal, petroleum, and other fossil fuels. Incentivising proper collection and disposal at various steps will also help the municipalities in reducing the area for garbage dumps. The government must immediately call for tenders for waste to energy projects across the country.

I Completely agree with Himanshu Kapoor on his comments and add one more point in here... Just like Dustbins are needed every 100m . We need to install Toilets every one Km or so and ensure they are well maintnained so people start using them.....

Last but not the least 7) Roads should be made of a very high quality. It will be a one time cost but it will be cheaper in long run. We dont have to make roads every year. Once you invest good money on roads and then there will be no problem for atleast 5 to 6 Years. I am a big fan of you sir, wish I will get a chance to work with you and learn from you. Regards

Continued to previous comments: 4) Heavy fine on spitting or urinating in public 5) There should 2 or 3 cleaning auditors/inspectors assigned in every colony or area who will do monthly or quarterly audits and submit reports to concerned authorities and fine the respective RWA accordingly. 5) Seperate dustbins for recyclable and non recyclable items 6) Annual Targets should be set for every RWA in each colony for planting trees
