Create some kind of plan where land less people in villages get a piece of barren land start developing forest on it. Till the forest develops in 5-7 years, let them cultivate that land and keep the produce. Once forest is ready, land becomes forest land, not cultivation but produce from piece of forest developed by a family can be kept to support the family. This will enhance green cover as well rural employment and better utilization of land. Govt can develop forest corridors to connect forest

we Indians have to learn the art of ownership & accountability for keeping social projects going. Let there be teams to conduct social audits of the projects implemented and to be maintained by authorities. The audit team should comprise - senior citizens, experts, women, social workers, journalists, government officers etc. Periodic audits should be conducted at villages, wards in cities, market places, playgrounds & parks etc. Audit observations should be published in the local paper.

Number of vehicles and road accidents are increasing. In every accident one party is generally at fault. Drunken driving, over speed, violation of traffic rules, etc are the causes. Several innocent people die or get severely wounded. Only by harsh punishment accidents can be reduced. Minimum punishment for violation of rules should be cancellation of license, penalty Rs 10,000 and imprisonment. Punishment need not wait for an accident to take place. Once caught violating, give the sentence.

The Minister for IT had recently stated in a meeting that the MyGov.com is elucidating lakhs of wonderful ideas from the public. A lot of improvements are required in the functioning of State Governments also. All State Governments should also be directed to invite suggestions from the people to improve the State’s performance as in the case of GOI.
