दिल्ली के जवाहरलाल नेहरु स्टेडियम, इंदिरा गाँधी खेल परिसर, मेजर ध्यानचंद राष्ट्रीय स्टेडियम, डॉ. श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी तरण ताल और डॉ. कर्णी सिंह शूटिंग रेंज स्टेडियम भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण (एसएआई) के अंतर्गत आते है। इन विशाल स्टेडियमों का निर्माण 1982 के एशियाई खेलों के लिए किया गया था और फिर 2010 के राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों के लिए इनका नवीनिकरण/पुनर्निर्माण किया गया और अब इन स्टेडियमों में खेल और अन्य स्पर्धाओं के आयोजन के माध्यम से वित्त एकत्रित किया जा सकता है।

अधिक से अधिक वित्त किस प्रकार एकत्र किया जाए इससे संबंधित अपने सुझाव दें।

इसकी ज़रूरत नही. अम्बानी जैसे समूह इसे बना के चला भी लेंगे. सभी खेल संगठनो का निजीकरण कर दीजिये. ऐसे कई स्टेडियम देश में बन जायेंगे. सरकार केवल सस्ती ज़मीन इन्हे दे. सभी खेल संगठनो में भ्रष्टचार व्याप्त हैं. भारत का सर्वश्रेष्ट हॉकी स्टेडियम रांची में बनना चाहिये क्योंकि झारखंड में घर घर में हॉकी की प्रतिभा हैं. देश के हर स्कूल में पहला पीरियड दौड़ का हो. कल्पना कीजिये जब पूरा भारत सुबह 8 बजे दौड़ रहा हो. जितने मर्जी स्टेडियम बना लीजिये जब तक बच्चे रोज़ दौड़ेगे नही खिलाड़ी नही बन सकते.

The idea of Cooperatives in sport is based on Clubs. but instead of making club where income is from membership, Cooperatives are more responsive and more easy to manage where income is not from membership but DONATION which are tax free and compulsory on company over 100 employees. One of such Cooperative will need to run the complex on profit based. This profit is used for benefit of sport. Professional CA and Lawyers supported board will run this. Privatization is must for responsibility

Not all venues should be looked at for revenue generation. The returns in the form of medals are more rewarding for the nation. The stadium should increase the use by athletes. I live in Mumbai, 5mins from a SAI facility and wanted to get my kids into sports (3yrs n 5yrs) but was disappointed to hear that no such facility/option was available and we we talk about starting young n early. How will revenue generation help when the athletes aren't going to benefit from it.

As far as the SAI stadia in Delhi is concerned, the best thing to do would is possibly to convert it into a sports school and university. Funding sources has to then come from corporate giants who can take up one or two disciplines each. Additionally, it can be opened up in the weekend to the public as a 'pay and play' center.
