Today’s 160 million Indian children will have to deal with CLIMATE CHANGE for decades if we don't start solving the burning problem. If we don’t take corrective measures to save our environment for the benefit of future generations. The planet is crying for our help to adopt eco-friendly sustainable practices. Sir, for that we have a proven methodology named “Family Integrated Climate Change Initiative-2021” (FICCI- 2021).

This “FICCI” is the experimentally proven practice (5R) that mainly addresses a) to REDUCE the Electrical power consumption b) to REUSE the wastewater, c) to REJECT the use of SUP (Single Use Plastic) d) REGAIN the natural gas consumption and e) REFINE the traveling time. Due to these actions, every family member reduced the GHG emissions to 340 kgs per year. Our Nation’s population is 143 crore. If all the Indians follow these FICCI activities, the reduction in GHG emissions is 48.62 tons per year to fetch Rs. 1, 60,446 crore per year as carbon credit. Sir, I request you to speak about this FICCI in the December 2023 Mann-Ki-Batt speech to MAKE the people to AWAKE to reduce the pollution. JAIHIND

Raising forest cover has gained eminence to curb carbon emissions. This can be done by introducing a suitable condition called Greening Period in the tenders for road construction. Make it mandatory for the contractor to plant trees on both sides of the roads being constructed across the nation. The contractor has to maintain the road and the plantation for three years from the date of completion of construction. This should include covering the plantation with suitable Jali, watering, and caring of the plants along with the maintenance of roads. At the end of the Greening Period at least 90% survival rate and a minimum height of 5 feet of trees have to be ensured along with acceptable quality of road. Fastest growing trees around the locality and local weather conditions may be considered. To start with, this should be implemented for national and state highways. For al;ready constructed roads, this can be implemented by introducing Greening Period clause in Maintenance Contracts.
