Sir, I'm Jigar Bhatt from Ahmedabad. My brother is a patient of Friedreich's #ataxia. Friedreich's Ataxia (FRDA) is a rare #genetic life-shortening #disease that gradually pushes a patient from chair to wheelchair and then wheelchair to bed. As disease progresses, the patient gets more & more #disabled and faces lots of physical challenges related to day-to-day activities. As a well-wisher of FRDA patient #community, I would like to request you to help them by making their recently approved first #medicine named Skyclarys available in India(at subsidized rates) as it is currently available only in USA (approx cost is 4cr/year as declared by the company) Our AIIMS Delhi is also well aware of such patients' struggles. Patients are also trying to get in touch with MoHFW to enlist this disease under National Policy of Rare Disease. The efforts are still on..
