Transportation is vital for the country development and to maintain normal life of citizens. However there is a high wastage of fuel and money in empty return of trucks. we have to apply the pareto principle of 80:20 here , only 20 percentage of Indian cities can provide loads or materials for trucks. For Example : Chennai to Guwahati truck has to come all the way to Kolkatta to get load so the transport charge is double for Chennai customer since transporters take money to reach Kolkatta empty, similary any small towns in MH, GJ, MP, UP and other states the trucks are not getting the correct load and it put high cost for customer at one end. The solution is RORO ( Roll on Roll off ) services to be provided by Railways across India . Where trucks can be carried in Rail wagons for a charge. By 2030 India should achieve a stage where no empty trucks have to travel more than 50 kms. This service is provided KONKAN RAILWAYS. Saves Millions Liter of fuel .
