In commemoration of India's 75 years of independence, the Indian Consulate here in collaboration with a city-based cultural organisation and a children's museum commenced a week-long celebration involving a plethora of activities, including traditional paintings, music and storytelling, that honour the history of India's people, culture and achievements. The Consulate General of India in New York, The Culture Tree and the Children's Museum of Manhattan (CMOM) kicked-off the special activities and interactive programming on Monday that aim to celebrate the diversity of India and its people through dance, music, literature, puppetry, drama, food and art, The Culture Tree said in a statement.

Many elderly people not only myself but also Sr. Citizen will get good medical treatment and medicines at the doorstep and no need to visit hospitals. I request your good self to kindly speak about this new scheme PM Special medical care on " Independence Day ".

Dear Prime Minister sir, I am Sankaranarayanan from Mylapore, Chennai and have few good ideas to share with you. Today I will start with first Idea: Each family having their own house and some space for planting trees may be supplied with free quality saplings of Mango, Jack Fruit tree,Teak , Mahogany, Sandal, Red Sanders etc by the Forest Department. In due course the beneficiaries will get immense benefits and the nation will get more green cover.

Hon'ble PM, during the Mughal ruling till Akbar, India was far ahead than European Countries. Today the landlords are holding land in Indian subcontinent on the basis of Todarmal system. If the land is properly handed over to the special police establishment working under direct control of Govt. of India i.e. IO's of CBI, designated as Officers of Delhi Special Police Establishment means Police of Government of India, it will be best for upcoming generations and also for economy. On the basis of Todarmal system of land arrangement, I request to introduce a new scheme of Pay for Officers of Special Police Establishment of Government of India i.e. from the rank of IO's and till the rank of IO's that provides them a choice to get one acre agricultural land in any Indian State of their choice in liu of full net paid salary in one complete financial year. This scheme should be repeated til the wishes of IO till an officers is holding the post of IO in Special Police Establishment.
