Bhagavad Gita should be taught compulsorily in schools. If not in schools, at least parents should ask their wards to read Bhagavad Gita daily. Bhagavad Gita teaches to be 'Sthitpragya' i.e. having an unwavering mind in any condition. This very single teaching can ease off a lot of pressure from not only students preparing for competitive exams, but persons from all walks of life. The greatness of Bhagavad Gita can be gauged by the impact of it on the lives of so many legends, including our PM.

Keeping in mind the changing times, it would be good to do away with the 11th and 12th standards from our education system. Instead, increase the syllabus a bit more in 9th and 10th standard and ask the choice of stream of a student in 9th standard itself. The CCE pattern in CBSE needs to be done away with, as it is not producing the expected results and has turned counter-productive. Instead of helping students, it has increased unnecessary burden.

There are good things about the school system in the U.S. that we should learn from. Their strong public education system for example. Our government schools, specially the ones in the cities are just a joke and wastage of public funds( in most places). Even the poorest of the poor send their kids to substandard private schools because at least there is some education happening there. We need to either fix this system, involve private management or junk it altogether to save public funds!

I have been living in the US for past 5 years. This country had a policy they called " no child left behind" where they would mandatorily promote every kid to the next class without a strong evaluation. The result is a hoard of middle aged people who are simply not good enough for their jobs. They changed the policy now and are trying to do more stringent evaluation right from 5th grade. And here we are , trying to implement their failed policy in India. Do the policy makers do any researchatall

In most schools these days be it ICSE,CBSE etc Xth board studies are forced upon students by schools from VIIIth itself. This should change and all boards should incorporate compulsory vocational training on skill oriented subjects in all boards.and its weightage should increase towards application as students progress in Xth, XIIth and graduation etc.Best practices should be followed.

I have always felt one important aspect in my Xth, Xiith and Engg classes.Being attentive in classes prevent you from having stress just before the exams.Methodological study be in whatever subject should be encouraged.Foundations and understanding of concepts should be encouraged rather than learn by Rote.

Caste based reservation system should be removed for competitive exams and a new system based on economic criteria should be implemented. The selection should be purely based on merit irrespective of caste & category. Also the level of corruption in recruitment entrance exams is very high making it very difficult for a candidate to crack the examination. Therefore it is my request to give equal opportunity to everyone irrespective of caste so that no deserving candidate is left non-selected.
