Principals should be All India Transferable with a tenure of 5-7 yrs, Lecturers & Teachers be transferable within State with a tenure of 7-10 yrs so that the efficiency of the Individuals and of the System will improve.Hindi should be the second language in non-Hindi speaking states. The stress should be on Quality Education specially on the ignored Primary & Secondary level. A System of compulsory paid Internship of 8-10 months in Industry/Govt. I am writing on behalf of my father who happens to be a retired Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. 1. Education must be the subject under Concurrent List of the Constitution so that the pattern of education all over India remains Uniform. 2.There must be a Cadre "Indian Education Services" for a focused approach in Education in order to lay a firm foundation of the nation with proper accountability. 3.There must be a Cadre of the Principal for all Colleges & Hr.Secondary Schools.

Make it compulsory for all graduating students to serve defence services for a minimum period of six months to one year to inculcate in them discipline, national ownership, pride and performance. During this defence service, no salary payments but only maintenance - food and shelter to be taken care of. To begin with, this can be made compulsory for all professional graduate programs (B.E., B.Tech., M.B.B.S, etc)

Complete overhaul of education system is the need of the hour. Most people have degrees but, dont have the required skill set to get employment. Teaching should be made more lucrative job where they should be paid more in fact it should be on par with other professions like doctors, engineers etc.Govt schools should be provide the best infrastructure. Dont make mid day meals responsibility of the schools.Teachers are there to teach not feed the students. Separate agency should look after it.

We have different patterns of universities so just make two broad types public and private. Public universities and institutions are central and state funded and private universities are self funded. Remove the category of 'Deemed to be University' and consider it as private university.

Is it possible to make education as totally central subject. This will help in removing disparities in work pattern, salary and more importantly common objectives for learning outcome. If not school education at least higher education should be removed from the concurrent list and should be put as Central subject. Take a review as to how many recommendations made by Radhakrishan Committee and Kothari commission are still relevant and not yet implemented and then simply implement.

My view on the education policy is that we have to consider our culture in education. For this webhave to explorebour ithihasas and puranas.Today we are not studying anything related to Indian culture. Why do we can't introduce our ithihasas and vedas into our syllabus. It won't direct our students into a wrong direction.
