NAMASTE! Trees are the best balance for development and environment. A strict law should be made that every able-bodied citizen between ages 11 and 60 must plant 3 plants or trees, 2 neem trees and a tulsi plant, and look after them with sufficient water, air and soil. Others can also plant them. The planting must be ensured by police. Neem gives plenty of oxygen and tulsi repels lots of pathogens like H1N1 virus and keeps us healthy. A minimum of 3 billion trees planted is a must.

Indian Railways has lot of unused land. Convert that into green trees. This will make journey cooler for one and all.

Govt. can motivate citizen of India by tax rebate, who are investing in clean energy.

We have lot of problem related to water. A maximum part of water used for flush in toilets as well for cleaning of societies and similar type of activities. Local government authorities/ localities/housing societies/NGOS may find the the way to store rain water in covered well(covered well will be safe)withing society or nearby parks and use same directly or with very minor cleaning. This will save drinking water(from municipalities) and energy for transport of this water and recharge ground.

One can get rid of plastic by using plastics in road making, which will make the roads more stronger and more immune to weather changes. This will be a win-win strategy in which in one way we can eliminate plastic waste and in other way we make our roads better. So, I look forward to government to look at my suggestion

any development being done in making solar panels cheaper to produce?

Government should analyse the feasibility to install solar panel on roof top of trains as it will be great source of solar energy as all trains are in sun light exposure. Presently solar energy is in advance stage of development as recently one solar plane is in the process of testing. Train roof top is in kilometers with the exposure of sun light. Solar system have lot of problem related to space which in this case is available with government and not required any one intervention.

Govt should ask the auto manufactures specially the likes of Mahindra which produces E2O, battery operated cars, to install the solar panels on top of the car, this will enable the car to be recharged while on the go, this will encourage people to buy it for city usage. This will reduce the pollution and fuel consumption like anything, also it will make our cities cleaner. In the second level, we can try those vehicles replacing auto rickshaws, as this kind of car will be cost effective.

Talking about solar energy... least we can do is to replace highway lights with solar powered LEDs which will save a ton of money and power in long term...
