Namaste... In todays time use of wood by people has increased at very vast level.Because of that large number of trees are cut daily. Also use of wood for events has been increased for decoration n other purposes... If where is control over use of wood for furniture n in events, and if reuse of wooden items is increased the demand for wood will decrease n cutting of trees will decrease...pls think over this seriously.... else this will create more critical change in climate

Solar pumps are most efficient as far as renewable energy is concerned.Transmission losses are minimum as compare to solar lights/lamps.Solar pumps for small farmers up to 5 acre of land are sufficient to meet the irrigation requirements. We must give soft loans for Solar Pumps to each farmer. This will save power as well as improve environment. All industrial units must install one solar pump.Lay stress to make in India solar pumps& solar panels. COL C J PAL

All future Industrial parks should have common facility for the Sewage treatment and effluent treatment. Small and medium industries will find it difficult to have these facilities because of costs involved. Therefore common facility will help. This will reduce the water and environment pollution.Government can take clue from Singapore where the recycled water is used in large quantity. Most importantly every Singaporean takes pride of this fact.

The need of relying on renewable sources of energy is becoming inevitable. We need to reduce the dependence on hydro and thermal power generating stations as they hamper the natural ecosystem including the humans. For instance, setting up of hydro-power stations in rivers submerges large tracts of land, forest. In fact the local flora and fauna is destroyed and the human dwellers are also displaced. However, making effective use of modern technology we can use solar, wind, tidal and nuclear energy.

Sub: Reduction in paper usage. Dear Sir, I have observed that the telephone bills and credit card statements are printed in 5/6 page. Actual contents of the bill are hardly one page. Rest of the pages are full of afvertisement. I agree some amounts of dvertise is required, electronic media is good enough for advertisement. Reduction of paper certainly contribute to reduce some amounts of deforestation. Ebill is most welcome. However some cases paper bill is required for record

1. Central Government must take control of developing cities and making of housing complex instead of private builders. All country' land should be owned by the government and not in the name of private parties. In the name of development private parties really destroy environment, destroys hills and greenery for mining, killing lively hood of local tribal people and many many more. If Government take control of development then automatically environmental balance will maintain with public help

Sir,it should be mandatory to plant specific number of trees as per the ratio of every land purchase , the variety of plantation to be suggested as per the geographical location of the area. Local committee should make the inspection of the plantation, to reduce load on Govt.machinery and based on that report, the land should be transferred by the authorities. Street lighting in rural areas should be strictly on solar & local authorities should maintain them with the help of local population.
