Sir, there is blatant use of Govt Vehicle by Officers, in name of economy in expenditure Govt has resorted to hiring of Vehicles on contract. It has opened a new avenue to misuse the facility. Govt should stop the policy of hiring at all major cities where radio cab or private taxis are easily available. Instead Officer may be paid taxi or Radio cab charges on production of receipt with indication of KM and hours which is linked with movement order of the officer. Review may be undertaken.

In Rural Development , the Village Panchayat should play major role along with the Block Development Officer. Monitoring by both is a must and Mukhia should have direct access to higher Civil authorities and be entrusted with periodic reporting of the progress in work at least through Mobile phone.
