If they are taken from the beginning and also used as one metric of measuring the effectiveness of the learning/ training they undertake, it can add significant value and also address employability requirements. On the next level different formats of contests different industry bodies can hold, can fuel innovation and also help take employability to the next level – where a student demonstrates his/her readiness to address a real challenge.

There are now credible employability assessment agencies in different domains, accepted by various sections of industry. Some on skills, Engineering, Management … The flaw has been that such assessments are taken by the students towards the end of their study discovering gaps too late to fill effectively.

Today, Youths are helpless after complete their general graduation. The options for jobs in front of them are as sales & marketing, call centers, working in small scale industries etc. The hard earning knowledge are just useless in such professions. If we teach them applicability and various scopes related with their courses in practical field during college period ,they will never ask for job.

Many government projects and work can be given to students as their project work. I have seen many NITs and IITs graduate, whatever they do research and project goes waste. Government can utilize this workforce to grow country. Special master and phd people can do lot for this country.

This can be pursued through career center idea shared by me, respective Corporate can see candidates interested in their business model but still in school & colleges. Corporate can fund education cost for the shortlisted candidate and conduct customized training sessions during off school hours or when school are closed in school / college campus itself. This will benefit both youth and corporate.

EVERY COLLEGES IN INDIA SHOULD CONDUCT AN EXTRA LECTURE FOR THE STUDENTS IN WHICH A PROFESSIONAL PERSON SHOULD TEACH DIFFERENT WAYS TO DEVLOP THEIR BUSSINESS AND MINDS. AND TO THINK OUT OF BOX . TO TEACH THEM HOW TO HANDLE THE SITUATION IN INDUSTRIES OR SITE AND FACE THEM IN PROFESSIONAL WAY AND IN BETTER WAY .DIFFERENT ENGINEERS SHOULD BE CALLED TO THE INSTITUTE AND SHOULD EXPLAIN THE CONCEPT TO THEIR BRANCHES.

Apprenticeship model followed by Germany and Switzerland is one of the best in the world. the indian industry is simply not interested in such things. carrot and stick approach with exemptions and penalties is needed to encourage firms who take apprentices & those that don't on the other hand. firms shouldn't be forced to employ apprentices on a permanent basis. let candidates do as many apprenticeships as possible before they find their niche and expertise.

Industries should be allowed to open earn & learn institutions where one can do theory classes for 3 days and work in factory for 3 days to get practical training and earn money to pay for his education. This will serve both the purpose of education, skill development and production. These institutes be allowed recognized diploma/ degree at various levels so people have faith in them.
