Ev's are great due to reduction of pollution.Cost of Lithium batteries amount of foreign exchange spent for Lithium deposits to convert to final product, disposal of spent product after it's efficient life cycle, cost of replacement. No doubt renewable energy is being added day to day can it reduce the no of ships of crude purchase. A ton of crude gives petrol, diesel, aviation fuel, furnace oil, petcoke, tar for road making. A liter of petrol will give 50kms for scooters, 12kms for cars straight away. Whereas the electricity produced need to be transmitted few kms through renewable or coal in many places. Can the sunlight,hydel, nuclear,wind, seawave if implemented can it offset the requirements of electricity for homes,industry, public utilities along with vehicle fuel requirements is a question.
