Institutions must be ranked according to the technical & professional training they give to their students. India needs knowledge, not just degrees.

1. Academic, Co-curricular, research, technical advancement & students' development systems must be the priority while ranking an institution in India. 2. Colleges where there is a well qualified faculty with an interest in technical development, must be ranked in second priority. 3. Colleges which take students just to fill the seats must be ranked low. 4. Students' development in college must be considered. 5. Efforts of College to develop reputation as well as environment must be considered.

there is need to change education policy . today's education is only book related not prctical, only give % not jobs.

Ranking of Institutions should be decided as per the research work happening in that institution rather than, calculating the average placements happening in that institutions. Because any institution can manipulate the placement numbers, but it wont be able to do the same with research quality of its organization.

I don't think ranking of institutions and accreditations will create a healthy competition in this industry.There should be some change in the education system.From nursery onwards we need to introduce syllabus on clean India and discipline.
