The situation on the ground is not very pleasing and this is not going to unless state govt are given certain responsibilities.Creating awareness among the people is a different perspective and that doesn't guarantee 100% success.Some guidelines need to be given to state govts and the Municipalities of specific regions must be given the responsibilities.certain laws must be implemented at the local level and other agencies like local police,traffic police etc must be involved to monitor it.

There are many areas where still no toilets r there but order should b given that every MLA have to participate in making 100 toilets in his area sothat people can use them and more and more people should b selected to clean the toilets on public and private organisation based. There should b proper water facility for the toilets because many times it is seen that toilets r there but not water facility. Even on National Highways there are no toilets on the roads wich cos urination in open.

A programme can be introduced in schools where a section of senior students shall bear the responsibility of keeping the whole school clean turn by turn. This will not only be educative for themselves but also for the junior students who shall see their seniors monitoring the cleanliness of the school.

Human tendency to keep one's home clean is because they themselves need to clean it when dirty. Offices are smeared with paan stains as they are cleaned by people who do not put them.I hope if the people are made to clean, the place they are caught making dirty instead of imposing fines, will deter them from spitting or throwing litter.

In order to achieve cleanliness programme at the school level a separate chapter regarding environment shall be included.they should be tought about the Eco system and effect of human activity on our ecosystem.they must know about environmental pollutants. They must be given practical assignments from the school regarding garbage segregation and should have knowledge regarding different types of garbage

Y there r no Dustin at every street n society so that ppl can throw dust in Dustin? It should be compulsory for Nagar Palika to take garbage from Dustin from streets n society all three times, morning, noon n evening. If staff is less then govt should aapt more staff for cleaning. There should be society cleaning day every month where all members of each society does n govt give certified for cleaning. Cleaning should be thought to clean dust n put it in Dustin from school days.

Hello sir I am in the merchant navy and on board we segregate the garbage as defined in international laws so in order to make clean india successful merely sweeping is not effective.first of all garbage has to be segregated at its origin for this we need to define types and category of waste and colour coding system for their disposal.this should be made as a law and mandatory all over India.all garbage has to disposed of to reception facility only.

Ubiquitous litter found everywhere is plastic covers. There are some go green shops but mostly every shopkeeper provides plastic covers and this adds to the volume of litter everyday. The solution for this would be to develop a habit to take bags (cotton, jute) when you go out for shopping or to buy groceries. This will limit the usage of plastic covers. Today, nobody has a feeling that plastics are not healthy for our environment. We will have to develop the thought process of Go Green.
