Every school including municipal schools must have atleast 4 hrs a week on civic sense. It must be dinned in them that they should not spit on the road, not litter on the road. Must keep surrounding areas clean etc. Once a yr initiative on 2 Oct alone is not enough. Just like school teachers have managed to stop kids from bursting crackers during Diwali, they should stop kids from spitting, defecating in public.then maybe after 20 yrs we may have a clean India.

Children should be taught the importance of hygiene and clean surrounding at school level.Teachers should check that they wash hand properly, throw litters in bin only and school administration should try to make school vicinity a cleaner and greener place because once the children have good habits inculcated they won't do it in future

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a commendable initiative but thats all it is at present. The celebrities wielding brooms is just a photo op to please the PM nothing more. If one travels between Alibaug and Revdanda (a tourist spot near Mumbai) one doesn't find a dustbin for nearly 20km. Pls have infrastructure in place. Dustbins, toilets and waste disposal infrastructure are a must. First of all privatise garbage collection and disposal.

Three Tasks to Children as part of their curriculum: 1. Dispose trash only in bins-No open littering. 2. Ensure Waste Segregation at home (WET, DRY AND BIO-HAZARDOUS) as project with credits. 3. Not to use non-recyclable items such as thermocols, uncle chipps (multilaye/laminates packs)
