कहा जाता है कि "जल ही जीवन है" दिल्ली की यमुना नदी दिल्ली के लगभग 1.5 करोड़ लोगों की जीवनरेखा है। हमारा जीवन इसपर निर्भर है. यह किसी से छुपा नहीं है के वर्तमान में यमुना की क्या दुर्दशा हो चुकी है । जब भी हम यमुना के आस-पास से गुजरते हैं तो यमुना की गंदगी के लिए सरकार को भला-बुरा कहकर अपने कर्तव्यों के इतिश्री कर लेते हैं । परन्तु क्या हमारे जीवन की रक्षा के जिम्मेदारी क्या सिर्फ सरकार की है। अगर हमारे घर में कूड़ा-कचरा जमा हो जाए तो क्या उसे साफ़ करने के लिए हम सरकार का इन्तजार करते हैं???

There sud b monitoring systm in the govt offices and any govt sector wether it is rail,bus or any organisation. By doing so it can b considered that how much attention is given to toilets n latrines. And award and reward system should b there for the best public organisation who maintain the heathy conditions. And private sectors should b included in this because if there is no compition then no one cn improve..

Better to educate the manual scavengers families first create awareness among them ho to utilise their services in different sectors foe their lively hood.It is also very useful to introduce minimum work guarantee scheme (NREGS) in Urban areas to eradicate manual scavengers and to rehabilitate them.

During my delhi visit i was at hazrat nizamuddin railway station and that was the time i saw one little boy involved in manual scavenging this incidence took place 4 years back. Now i guess the situation has improved but till now Indian Railways dump majority of the waste directly on the tracks except few equipped with bio-digester. Instead of the usage of bio-digesters the waste generated can be effectively utilized instead of letting the bacteria eat all away.

I think it is better to provide UGD System in all over India without any breakages and leakages.One more thing is to create awareness about sanitation and usage of UGD from the nook and corner to cities.Usages of Robo Technology is also very useful to eradicate Human scavengers.Further effectives measures would be taken to better rehabilitation to the manual scavengers in this regard it is better to utilise their services in Solid Waste Management and recycling process.
