with all the suggestions i would like to add that as our PM has talked about khaadi and LPG through various advertisements and "Mann ki baat"it should be repeatedly reminded to use LED's and there should be a provision to provide it through some medium like an app through which at least 3 all of us can claim(assuming one for kitchen one for washroom and one in living area or bedroom) At least it can start gaining popularity and people who are BPL ca also participate and claim freely.

The best way to showcase UJALA SCHEME would be to use LED Bulbs to light up the North Block and South Block during Independence Day week celebrations as well as during Republic Day Celebrations, which are at present being done using normal bulbs, resulting in huge wastage of electricity

Hi, To encourage LEDs, we need to start from ourselves first. Below are few steps which can help: 1. Replace all tubes, bulbs with LEDs in home. 2. Replace all street lights with LEDs. 3. Replace all public & private buildings' tubes & bulbs with LEDs. 4. Teach the energy saving benefits & an individual's contribution towards nation building.

The taxes levied by state & central govts should be exempted to LET Bulbs and at a subsidised price available to reach commonman for an affordable price.It saves crores of rupees of subsidies extending to various power generating companies.
