There is must be provision for encouraging the use of LEDs by imposing penalties on the consumer who use sources of lightening other than LEDs and also give some rebate or discount to the consumer who uses LEDs.

One hand Government is promoting LED bulbs across the county while other hand Government Offices/institutions are not bother to shift on LED mode. It can be seen in Delhi itself may Government establishments are still using Tube Light and normal Bulbs. It is necessary to make it mandatory for Govt establishment to shift on LED mode in scheduled time. Perhaps circular is needed from Government of India to force them to adopt LED. #LEDs #UJALAScheme

सरकारी LED सस्ती मिल रही है परन्तु प्रचार और उत्सहा की कमी के कारण आम जन इस योजना का लाभ नही ले पा रहा है ! पुराने बल्बों पर टैक्स बढ़ाया जाये और घर घर जाकर प्रचार किया जाये , गरीबो के लिए और सस्ती मिले तकनिकी में सुधार किया जाये , यदि सरकारी - सहायता प्राप्त कार्यलयो, स्कूल,विधालय आदि में इनका प्रयोग अनिवार्य किया जा सके तो प्रचार भी होंगा और बचत भी बढ़ेंगी !

USE LED ,AND GET DISCOUNT OF ELECTRICITY BILL IN 40%-50% IN MONTHLY

It is a good initiative.The conventional bulbs emits high heat dissipation and it consumes more electricity.LED reduces 35% of annual electricity bill of a average house.Even LED lights reduces electricity bill its capital cost is high so government should give the LED in low cost and should distribute all over the country.

This initiative is lacking in publicity. Promote it through social media. Give advertisements in newspapers. Ask local administrative bodies like municipalities and panchayats to distribute pamphlets explaining the UJALA scheme and advantages of using LEDs. I have got 3 LEDs. They are far better then the traditional tungsten bulbs, have no heating issues, provide excellent lighting and are energy efficient. Need to promote their usage for street lights as well.
