Dear sir,, why not provide concessions in electricity bill to the households using LEDs,, this would encourage others to switch over to LEDs too.

Well known idiom "Charity begins at home", first of all the Government offices, Monuments, Buildings and Parks should be replaced with the LED bulbs. Secondly, the Institution and Companies can be awarded with rebate in Taxes or exemption in ease of business who completely convert their campuses into LED lightening and usage. Thirdly, projecting/broadcasting the comparative savings by the use of LEDs over the TV, Radio, FM and other means of information to the common public.

To encourage use of LEDs,we need to increase awareness about it to remote places also where people have no knowledge about it.This scheme should be expanded to every village of country as it not only conserves electricity but economically profitable to country also.

LED must be used everywhere not only in houses. Especially in Govt. offices, Public Places,Street light Bulbs also should be replaced by LED so that we can utilize more amount of power. This type of savings can be helpful for further use.

The UJALA scheme is the best for encouragement of LED by hon PM & govt., but, it required more speed to reach the LED bulb to home of all the people in India. It required revolution strategy to supply and make utilise the LED in house to house, The scheme of subsidised LED is good, but, the contract to the electricity agency given to give service of LED at home to home, as the meter reader goes to billing the electricity bill every month, for LED, Only require to go & supply once, best wishes

My submission is that , considering the huge energy saving by using LED bulbs , why not the Government mandate manufacturing of only LED bulbs by mananufacturers. Perhaps a grace time of two to three years can be given to the regular bulb manufacturers to switch to LED bulb manufacturing. The concerns in switching to manufacturing of LED bulbs can perhaps be listned to and addressed.
