Gwalior, a million plus city, is the historical and cultural capital of Madhya Pradesh. The Heritage city of Gwalior is known for its Archaeological beauty and grandeur. History comes alive with its stories of royal dynasties, epic battles, musical legacy, palaces, temples, the fort, tombs and bazaars.

As Gwalior has been selected in 100 smart cities, it is a cumulative endeavor to make the city resilient, sustainable and people friendly.

In first round of submission, Gwalior scored 54.82% figuring at rank 22 and missed the top-20 list only by a whisker. Now, as a part of challenge, Gwalior is required to rebuild its Smart City Plan and Proposal to get through the Round – II. The Gwalior Municipal Corporation is currently working on upgrading its proposals for Round 2 of the Smart City Mission. One of the key processes of the Mission is to engage with the citizens at every stage and incorporate their views and suggestions in the proposal.

Municipal Corporation urges all the citizens and stakeholders to kindly review the proposal submitted earlier in Round – I (accessible through link below) and share their valuable opinion and views so that the physical, social and knowledge infrastructure of city is upgraded to match the modern times as well as maintain our traditional roots and culture.

Citizens can also provide their valuable suggestions and feedback on Social Media links mentioned below.

ग्वालियर रेल्वे स्टेशन के चारों तरफ अतिक्रमण हटाकर पुराने होटलों को शिप्ट करके चौड़ीकरण किया जाना चाहिये ।

Der mst b a proper provsn of planting more trees, all around the city and especially, in the outer regions, where industries are growing. Pollution Certification of vehicles must be incorporated. A check on household waste management is the need of the hour, as currently, a major portion of the waste is not managed. Polythene use must be completely banned. Also, there mst b a replacement fr d years-old tempos n introduction of City buses (as was done before).

In my opinion the people should start segregating the waste in their homes itself and should keep the waste according to the method earlier mentioned by me . In this way we can easily recycle the waste and can also make pits and can put the biodegradable waste in these pits and in this way this will decompose and form into compost which makes the soil more fertile and also if we separate the waste and send them to the recycle centers we would be able to manage the waste effectively with clean

for proper waste management in any area in my view we should collect the garbage according to its recycle ability. Like plastic , paper should be collected separately for the people which they consider ti be waste and the other household waste separately. The person who collects the waste by the medium of door to door collection should have different sections in his van wherein he should keep the plastic waste separately , the paper waste separately and the like.
