MeitY is seeking comments from citizens on the Draft Report on Circular Economy in Electronic Waste.

It has drafted an action plan report which provides recommendations on feasible solutions of circular economy transformation in the e-Waste Sector based on best global practices.

The recommendation includes the entire value chain of the products including raw-material acquisition, design & manufacturing of components, consumption, end-of-life, and recycling, and recovery stages, secondary raw materials, circular economy evaluation indicators, etc. to ensure

•Security of critical materials
•Product-life extension
•Responsible disposal
•Strengthening Recycling Systems
•Sustainable Manufacturing Process

The elements like lead, cadmium, beryllium, arsenic used in electronic devices have harmful effects to the human body. Lead can cause seizures, high blood pressure. Cadmium can damage lungs, kidneys and liver. Beryllium can lead to a fatal condition known as Acute Beryllium Disease. Arsenic, a potent toxin, can damage digestive tract. Other used elements are also poisonous. So everyone needs to be more cautious of health and environmental concerns.

Electronic waste from electronic devices is damaging the environment. It pose problems due to presence of toxic chemicals. Companies would have to collect, reuse recycle and manage other workable managements for disposal of used electronic devices. It will ensure proper handling of e-waste and save the environment.

Common in Electronic Gadget are enclosure or casing, PCB & Trace materials like Gold, copper, lead, semiconductor, plastic, solder lead (or could be RoHS). The plastic part can be heated and separated, then more heat will remove semiconductors from PCB solder,pcb trace can be eliminated by chemical reaction, now all the semiconductor has to be shredded into fine dust and chemical reaction can remove the internal bonds, then we get the semiconductor which can be reprocessed for new one. Thanks

Govt can give this responsibility to all the schools as a social responsibility toward sustainability. Students from class 6 to 9 can be aligned for doing this activity and whomsoever will generate more ew will be appreciated by Givt of India and this way these students will carry forward this responsibility ahead during their professional journey and also to new generations.
