The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India envisages a judicial system that is more accessible, efficient, and equitable for every individual who engages with the justice delivery system. The right of access to justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution encompasses the right to access live court proceedings.

To imbue greater transparency, inclusivity and foster access to justice, the e-Committee has undertaken the project of live streaming of court proceedings on priority. This will enable access to live court proceedings, including on matters of public interest to citizens, journalists, civil society, academicians, and law students on a real-time basis, which was not otherwise possible owing to geographical, logistical, or infrastructural issues.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India invites inputs, feedback, and suggestions on the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

Click here to read the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

The last date to receive Suggestions/Inputs is 30th June 2021.

This will be a good move but the most important problem in the judiciary system is to speed up its process and make it simpler just like starting a new startup. Most people think why should we take this small thing to court which is actually a very big matter. We should make our judicial system so simple and speedy (digitally) that anyone should take even his smallest matters to court where he can get justice very quickly. This will bring transparency in every field and also counter corruption.

Sir, Our justice system is very slow which means victims are not getting justice and criminals are running wild bold and open. Sometimes people want to leave this lovely country because of that. Drugs, Corruptions, exploitation and denials but there is a fork tongue system behind the Constitution of this country. Live streaming, visual digital transparency of the justice system will encourage many lives in this country. Just do it sir.
