The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India envisages a judicial system that is more accessible, efficient, and equitable for every individual who engages with the justice delivery system. The right of access to justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution encompasses the right to access live court proceedings.

To imbue greater transparency, inclusivity and foster access to justice, the e-Committee has undertaken the project of live streaming of court proceedings on priority. This will enable access to live court proceedings, including on matters of public interest to citizens, journalists, civil society, academicians, and law students on a real-time basis, which was not otherwise possible owing to geographical, logistical, or infrastructural issues.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India invites inputs, feedback, and suggestions on the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

Click here to read the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

The last date to receive Suggestions/Inputs is 30th June 2021.

1. 'Voice to Text' shall be implemented in the video during the live court session. Correction shall be made in the text, almost in real time. After a delay of 30 min., anybody should be allowed to download the procedings. Actually, it's not well on topic, however written as many may miss. Actually, not much aware of the issues while live telecast and court.

namaste Bheeshma ji. Of course this is a pioneering iniative favourable to our country. now a days millions of cases waiting of judgement, so digitalised court proceedings will help always. E-court system if adopted with jurisdiction logics, will lesser time allotment to courts. since court is the supreme source for all to sustain the system better, proper and adequate, it is necessary to file e-filing of documents, argument, judgment and all such in live streaming publically.

This idea will be more useful in the coming time the idea of recording court proceedings can be used by the law education institutions for the training and development of law students after a decision is taken if any one is claiming that injustice is happen with him the older court proceedings recordings can be seen by the higher courts if needed..

this is a great idea and it should be implemented, even in the case of Swapnil Tripathi vs Supreme Court of India supreme court also says that live streaming of Supreme Court proceedings should be done, it will help to the people to understand the proceedings before the apex court and also make the judicial process more transparent, I give some suggestion how you can implement this in a better way- 1 - there should be a national channel for that like DD National on which we can telecast
