The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India envisages a judicial system that is more accessible, efficient, and equitable for every individual who engages with the justice delivery system. The right of access to justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution encompasses the right to access live court proceedings.

To imbue greater transparency, inclusivity and foster access to justice, the e-Committee has undertaken the project of live streaming of court proceedings on priority. This will enable access to live court proceedings, including on matters of public interest to citizens, journalists, civil society, academicians, and law students on a real-time basis, which was not otherwise possible owing to geographical, logistical, or infrastructural issues.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India invites inputs, feedback, and suggestions on the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

Click here to read the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

The last date to receive Suggestions/Inputs is 30th June 2021.

Live streaming of court proceedings is an welcoming move. This will definitely ensure the people that the proceedings are undertaken in a transparent manner by the Judiciary without any kind of influence and is purely based on evidences and facts of the case. This should be implemented to ensure that people put their faith on Judiciary.

Sir, as crores of cases r pending for disposal, there should be fast track courts so that every citizen can have more faith on our jurisprudence which is mostly criticised of slow pace for justice delevarance. Many undertrials r languishing in our jails as there cases r perennially going on in our courts as time to time such stories r published in our news paper. Now we r considering justice delayed is justice denied but less number of judges and courts can not fulfill 130 crores population hope

Sir, Indian justice system needs major overhauling such as reforms, deliverances, accountability, credibilties, Intigrity and transparency. How far this live streaming and recording of court proceedings would be successful that the future will tell but one thing is certain that it will enhance common man awareness cum knowledge regarding indian justice system. So far apex court of india is out of reach of common people as it is very costly and time consuming affairs.let us see how we r bettering

Modiji, The Civil Courts are still crowded with unsettled Civil suits due to continuous postponment of cases according to the wishes of Munsiff even though the aggreived party counsels wait for deposition, argument.Munsiff Courts measure the power of tolerance of each aggrieved party who pay tax used to run judiciary too. This prolonged lagging judiciary proceedings has to be stopped & strict Central Law has to be framed to complete Civil Suit within 3 years from date of suit filing in Court.
