The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India envisages a judicial system that is more accessible, efficient, and equitable for every individual who engages with the justice delivery system. The right of access to justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution encompasses the right to access live court proceedings.

To imbue greater transparency, inclusivity and foster access to justice, the e-Committee has undertaken the project of live streaming of court proceedings on priority. This will enable access to live court proceedings, including on matters of public interest to citizens, journalists, civil society, academicians, and law students on a real-time basis, which was not otherwise possible owing to geographical, logistical, or infrastructural issues.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India invites inputs, feedback, and suggestions on the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

Click here to read the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

The last date to receive Suggestions/Inputs is 30th June 2021.

Authenticate (like otp) before joining. Non case rltd mbers can only hear, mic auto off. Lmt nmbr of observers on first come first serve basis & cannot record. Admin mute any participant on the instructions of the judge. Pvt conversation between judge and Lawyers only even during live. No Chatting text. Training a must for lawyers on operational nuances. Non case related people must be charged to access any proceedings. Admin capable to eject any person from live meet.

With due respect, I would like to convey my great thanks for asking this. I want to request that if possible we should see the live streaming of honorable SC live and if it is already there then please make us more aware about it. Plus the real tims site of SC should be made more accessible. Also the laws and Act should also be made available with the respective case for example if it's a case of FEMA then FEMA Act should be attached there with live streaming. Thank you

Please form a web site where the cases being processed by various courts a transparently made available. The primary interest is in knowing when a case was filed, when all the court met to discuss the issue and why there was adjournment and when the next meeting is scheduled and when a case was decided. The performance and limitations of a court then will be on public display. This will prevent unjustified delays in the processing of cases.
