The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India envisages a judicial system that is more accessible, efficient, and equitable for every individual who engages with the justice delivery system. The right of access to justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution encompasses the right to access live court proceedings.

To imbue greater transparency, inclusivity and foster access to justice, the e-Committee has undertaken the project of live streaming of court proceedings on priority. This will enable access to live court proceedings, including on matters of public interest to citizens, journalists, civil society, academicians, and law students on a real-time basis, which was not otherwise possible owing to geographical, logistical, or infrastructural issues.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India invites inputs, feedback, and suggestions on the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

Click here to read the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

The last date to receive Suggestions/Inputs is 30th June 2021.

Booking under sections filing cases is not enough , severe punishments in judiciary are the need of the hour to decrease the crime rate in India. As the conviction percent is very low crime rate is increasing . police and Judicary should play vital role in decreasing crime rate . A time bound judgement for the cases is need of the hour and should be included in drafting New rules for Live streaming and Recording of court proceedings.

Despite the fact that over 3000 crores was spent in purchasing VVPAT machines, their data is not being verified. The Supreme Court stated that it would verify data from 5 EVM’s making that a 2% verification. While the best case scenario is a 100% verification, through this ,I am requesting to draft rule for a 50 percent random verification of EVM through VVPAT before declaring the results. we can approach millions of other people like us who doubt the EVM over election commission,

36% of parliamentarians and state assembly members , are facing criminal trail in 3045 cases. The total strength of law makers in parliament and assemblies is 4896 . After 2014 elections , the centre framed a scheme to set up 12 fast track courts across the country to try such cases . But now, the centre will need to duble the number of special courts as the total cases stands at 3045 . request you set up the fast track courts immediately and draft rules for live streaming .
