As part of the Ministry of Urban Development’s Smart City Challenge, Udaipur Municipal Corporation has recently completed the round one of the citizen’s consultation. Based on the outcome of round one, Corporation is now preparing to undertake several activities for citizen’s engagement in round two. As part of round two, Udaipur Municipal Corporation now invites suggestions/ feedbacks on one of the priority area i.e. ‘Solid Waste Management’ required by Udaipur city to be smart. E.g. the city needs to provide door to door waste collection, transportation and disposal.

Last date for submission is 4th December, 2015.

Plastic is a major menace in civic solid waste. Please help unemployed youth to set up plastic moulding units which can produce parts for modular toilets using this.Panchayats can buy these in bulk for installation in rural areas. one will see, not a trace of plastic will be left on the street. Similar work can be done for glass and electronic junk.

Government should appoint the poor peoples who earn there living by collecting the garbage ,they can we given ajob of collecting the garbage and separate them as organic or non organic so it we come more easy to decompose the waste the solid waste can be recycled easily by sailing it to the plastic ,metal Companies ,and organic waste can be sold to fertilizer companies or we can make fuel from it (ex-gobar gas).another benefit is that the poor peoples get jobs.

Tie up with any organic fertilizer company and set a plant to decompose the solid waste collected throughout the city.Company will decomposed all solid waste by the use of advanced decomposing technology and method. Finally, Let that company sell the decomposed material as a fertilizer to farmers at economical prize. This way municipal corporation, company , farmers will be benefited. Citizens will also contribute proactively. Thank you
