Karnal is known to be the ‘Rice Bowl of India’. Karnal Nagar Nigam is now participating in the second round of Smart City Challenge to enhance its Smart City Proposal prepared in Round 1. This exercise is being carried out under the Government of India’s flagship program for developing Smart Cities in India. As per the Guidelines of Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, the preparation of Smart City Proposal is citizen centric and the successful implementation for any city would depend upon the responses/ suggestions given by its citizens.
Expectations from Citizen: Karnal Nagar Nigam has detailed out the Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats of the city based on the Focus Group Discussions. Karnal Nagar Nigam would request all the citizens to support Karnal by giving their valuable suggestions/ feedback in strengthening the Smart City proposal for round 2.
