In today's economy the more importance is given to the skills that is absolutely great because some people/students who have money to buy a degree and get the job through only the degree gets job easily not doing any struggle and knowledge. But now the process is Fully changed if you want any kind of job first you have to show your skill, talent and the dedication for the job or any buisness.
That's why the seniors give advice to learn skill and get the knowledge also before the job interview and do more internship you can

On ground level their is shortage of skill workforce, Hence ITI"s or skill development institutes should be opened in every district for developing Electricians , plumbers , civil construction workers , mechanics , machine operators , Technicians etc.
I also observed that many MSME/Small scale industries facing shortage to semi skilled workers /labours . Main reason is because young labours from rural areas not ready to go for work as they are getting freebees from various govt. schemes like manrega etc. Govt. should only give schemes benefit to 50+ age group.

Regional and Sectoral Focus: Focus on tier-2, tier-3 cities, and rural areas to reduce disparities, with mobile training units for the informal sector. Multilingual training in regional languages will increase accessibility, leveraging AI for translation.
Developing ETLs (Entrepreneurship Tinkering Labs) to help to know at the school level itself about what an entrepreneur needs to know e.g. Accounting, Fund raising, Finance, Taxation etc. These activities can be taken up during vacations too. Let students do mistakes and gain experience to develop own strengths. Inspirational stories about entrepreneurs as part of value education. Shaping ethical value system to nurture attitude during formative years of a person is crucial.

Lifelong Learning and Reskilling: Technological disruptions, particularly automation, necessitate continuous upskilling.
Integration with Formal Education: The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes integrating vocational education into schooling and higher education.
Inclusive Skill Development: Women, rural populations, and marginalized groups face barriers to skill access.
Implementation and Monitoring -
Quality and Standardization: Standardized assessments, like the Global Employability Test (GET), and internationally recognized certifications are crucial.Partnering with global bodies will facilitate recognition, enhancing global mobility for Indian workers.

First generation of young people who have entered new industries in the last 10 years. They are those who have been certified under Skill India.
The truth is that they have been cheated by the government's industrial partners. They have filled the corporate manpower requirement and then thrown out. the last ten years, the government has been organizing apprenticeship training for industrial partners in various trades. The government should monitor how many people in those trades the industrial partners have created permanent employment in their companies. This is not happening in central public sector undertakings. The apprenticeship training program should be implemented for those who have not created employment in their companies. For the last ten years, the government's industrial partners have implemented the Skill India mission poorly.
Don't ruin the lives of young people by giving them unqualified industrial partners.

It is welcome to bring new reforms in Skill India development and entrepreneurship policy.
The industry partners who provide entrepreneurship training should be suitably qualified. It is condemnable to give the responsibility of providing apprenticeship training to industry partners who do not provide employment to even two people after completing the training. The central public sector undertakings themselves are running indifferently. Then how will the private sector undertakings effectively manage the apprenticeship training . The reason why the Skill India mission has not achieved the expected success target is the industry partners. How can an undertaking which is not qualified to provide permanent employment every year provide apprenticeship training effectively.
They are the first generation of young people who have entered new industries in the last 10 years. They are those who have been certified under Skill India.

Team Bharat: A Skill-Driven Civic Engagement Model for Youth & Workers
India has great national policies, but local-level issues still affect daily life — potholes, garbage, food safety, drainage, and illegal clinics.
Team Bharat is a solution that turns this challenge into an opportunity by training and involving college students, diploma holders, and unemployed youth in civic inspection and reporting.
This initiative builds practical skills in urban governance, digital tools, teamwork, and leadership — while creating a positive impact in their communities.
Using a centralized mobile app, these teams will report ground-level issues like:
• Road damage & poor materials
• Garbage dumps & street hygiene
• Food vendor safety & expired goods
• Drain blockages & waterlogging
• Unauthorized clinics & expired medicines
This campaign will not only solve civic issues but also empower young Indians with real-world skills, digital experience, and confidence.

While thepolicy is forward-looking, fewareascould be strengthened:
1.LocalSkillMapping&Micro-Entrepreneurship
Skill programsshouldreflectlocal market demands.District-level planning must prioritize
agro-based,artisanal,tourism,andtech-enabledmicro-entrepreneurshipopportunities, especially
inTier-2/3cities and rural areas.
2. Digital Platforms& Access
Skilling platformsmust be mademobile-first,multilingual,and accessible in remoteareas.Aunified
digital learningandcertification platformwill ensure transparencyand scale.
3. VocationalEducation Integration in Schools
Introducemandatory skill education frommiddle school onwards to developawareness, confidence,
and practical exposure fearly age.
4. Mentorship+MarketLinkage
Training alone is not enough.Post-training supportmustincludementorship,access tofinance,and 5. Women&MarginalizedGroups
Special focus on gender inclusion, self-employment schemes forwomen anddifferently-abled,and
safetynetsfor informalworkers iscrucial.
