Injured during the final term of training at OTA—a time when we are just months away from being commissioned—I was medically boarded out due to a service-related injury. Since then, I have received no assistance from the system I once proudly trained to serve. No pension. No Ex-Servicemen (ESM) status. There are only around 200 of us across the country—cadets who were disabled during training and are now struggling to live with dignity.
