The digital world has become an essential part of our daily lives—whether it’s social media, online shopping, digital banking, or gaming. Along with these opportunities come new risks such as Investment Scam, Instant Loan, Part time job, Trading, Sextortion, Courier Fraud, Digital Arrest, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS).

To build a safer online community, Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in collaboration with MyGov invites citizens to join the Digital Safety Dialogue. This open discussion is a space for sharing personal experiences, safety tips, and community practices that help protect against cyber threats. By learning from each other, we can strengthen digital safety awareness and promote secure online behavior for all.

Your inputs will help create a collective pool of ideas and practices that can be used to spread awareness and guide citizens towards building a Cybercrime-free Digital Bharat.

1.Spreading Awareness and Digital Literacy Awareness is the first defense against cyber threats. Citizens should be educated to: Never share OTPs, passwords, or banking details. Avoid suspicious links or unknown apps. Use strong passwords and update them regularly. Verify sources before making online payments. Schools, colleges, and panchayats can hold cyber safety workshops, while mass media and social media campaigns in regional languages can reach rural communities effectively. Including cyber safety in school curricula will build responsible digital citizens from an early age. 2.Government Initiatives The Government of India has taken several proactive steps to make cyberspace safe and trustworthy: The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) strengthens cyber policing and investigation. The National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) allows easy reporting of online crimes. The Cyber Crime Helpline 1930 helps victims of financial frauds in real time.

🎬 Title: “Stay Safe Online” Characters: • Riya – a smart student • Aman – her friend, unaware of online risks • Teacher – guides both students ⸻ Riya: Hey Aman, why did you share your personal details on that gaming app? Aman: Oh, it asked for my phone number and email to give a free gift. What’s wrong with that? Riya: That’s risky! It could be a fake site trying to steal your information. You should never share personal data online without checking the source. Teacher: Riya is right. Online scams and cyberbullying are becoming common. Always use strong passwords, avoid clicking unknown links, and don’t share photos with strangers. Aman: I didn’t realize it could be dangerous. I’ll be more careful next time. Riya: Good! Also, keep your social media accounts private and report suspicious messages immediately. Teacher: Excellent! Remember, “Think before you click.” Digital safety is everyone’s responsibility. All Together: Stay smart, stay safe, and use the internet wisely!

Due to no proper awarness in digital safety and security people are in trap of cyber crimes. So when people get awarness on each app safety and security then these cyber crimes and problems will reduce. So by bringing awareness programs it is more help full for the people to be safe from cyber crimes. Thank you so much for giving chance to share my thought with government

Respected Sir, In today’s era of Digital India, ensuring digital safety is as important as digital access. While the government has made remarkable progress in bringing services online, many official websites are still slow, difficult to navigate, or confusing for common citizens. This not only affects accessibility but also reduces public trust in digital systems. I suggest launching a Digital Safety and Ease of Access Initiative to redesign all government websites and apps to be faster, mobile-friendly, secure, and user-centric. A clear layout, simple instructions, multilingual support, and faster loading time will help citizens use digital platforms safely and confidently. Just as UPI made digital payments easy and secure, let’s make Digital Governance Safe, Simple, and Accessible for All. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
