Dear Sir I am a private sector employee and about to retire, I have been giving income tax to govt religiously for year and given a good amount to govt in last 20+years. Till the time I am in service I am covered for medical insurance etc but the day I will get retired no cover will be given to me and I will have to go for my own which will be a good amount. We don’t get any pension too so we need to manage our old age with our own accumulated amount only. What ever schemes are there from govt those are for poor not for the middle class. Road, Electricity, Water etc every body gets no matter if he gives tax or not. My suggestion if this suits - Govt should come with a scheme saying if some one will give a particular amount of Tax in his life he will be given a medical facility of a particular amount. This may increase the TAX collection too and there would be an additional satisfaction to public too which follow the govt rule religiously.
