Page 2 We returned to our office and promptly reported the matter to our boss. During that fortnight, I had starved like anything as there was complete black out and section 144 was imposed. I had sacrificed my sleep and food and it was really a horripilitating exercise.
The second incident relates to the sudden flood from Sabarmati River. We were opposite the wallled city and the residents were stranded being deprived of their belongings and even the cattle were washed away in the gushing waters. We tried to obtain the food packets from the other side and distyributed amongst the indigent citizens. The floods receded after a couple of days and this was another spine thrilling incident.
The third one relates to my running errands from Central Secretariat, New Delhi to Govt. of India Press at Mayapuri during the eactment of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. On one such trip, the official car in which I was travelling met with an accident from the
