वो हमारी पीढ़ी अनपढ़ थी जो कहती थी: नल धीरे धीरे खोलो पानी बदला लेता है। अन्न नाली में ना जाए, नाली का कीड़ा बनोगे। सुबह सुबह तुलसी पर जल चढ़ाओ बरगद पूजो, पीपल पूजो, आंवला पूजो। मुंडेर पर पक्षी लिए पानी रखा की नहीं। हरे छिलके कुड़े मत डालो अलग से बाल्टी में पशुओं के लिए। ये पीढ़ी इतना पढ़ी लिखी नही थी फिर पर्यावरण संरक्षण की चिंता करती थी।
