MyGov Talk with Hon. Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar on Climate Change

In the run-up to COP (Conference of Parties) 21 scheduled in Paris from 30th November to 11th December 2015, MyGov and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change are pleased to announce a MyGov Talk with the Honourable Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekar on the 26th October 2015 at 5.00PM in collaboration with Google India.

With India's Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC), the country is keen to attempt to work towards a low carbon emission pathway, while simultaneously endeavouring to meet all the developmental challenges that the country faces today. The INDC aims at promoting clean energy, especially renewable energy, enhancement of energy efficiency, development of less carbon intensive and resilient urban centres, promotion of waste to wealth, safe, smart and sustainable green transportation network, abatement of pollution and India’s efforts to enhance carbon sink through creation of forest and tree cover.

Citizens are invited to share their ideas, questions and inputs on India's role in COP21 and on the following proposals laid down by INDC:

• Sustainable Lifestyles
• Cleaner Economic Development
• Reduce Emission intensity of Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
• Increase the Share of Non Fossil Fuel Based Electricity
• Enhancing Carbon Sink (Forests)
• Adaptation
• Mobilizing Finance
• Technology Transfer and Capacity Building

Selected ideas and names would also be mentioned by the Hon. Minister and other experts during the MyGov Talk.
Contributors from MyGov, Climate Change Experts, senior journalists and social media influencers will join the panel discussion with Shri Prakash Javadekar.

People has to educated to use less or required energy. If they are using solar energy they no need to pay the electricity bill. Changing to energy efficient bulbs like led bulbs, Dry the clothes in sun instead of dryer, Having solar water heater etc may save the energy. Buying local food more, Avoiding plastic bags by carrying cloth or paper bags etc can be used as day to day practice.Maintaining the email boxes also go green concept only. Designing Fridge,Ac with cfc emission free.

The year 2016 be named as ‘National Resource Development year. Like ‘Green Revolution’ we must have ‘Bright Revolution’ in India. In every village Cop- Societies may be formed to establish and maintain solar energy stations. Installation of plants and production & distribution of Natural Gas done under cottage industries. All garbage, cattle and human excretions of the village may be used as input for the plant. The remnants may be used as manure in the fields.self sufficiency as goal.

Using go green energies like solar energy , wind mills etc can be the solution for avoiding co2 emission. Encouraging innovations like designing vehicles without co2 emission, some ddevices which can abserve dust or co2 etc in those fields. Vehicles should maintain properly then we can reduce co2 emission. If vehicle is not maintained properly there should be a rule for catch the vehicle by traffic police and fine for them. Planting more plants which can observe or give more air in those places.

My idea is very simple and can be effective. As a nation we are seeking to earn Carbon credits. In order to earn more of it we involve more and more people. Now, extending this practice at the micro-level I suggest that every individual, every society, every office and every such group which contributes to the earning of carbon credits may be honored with CC credits to be given by the government. The individual should be honored if he contributes to the earning of CC and he should be recognized

Dear sir, Several steps can be taken: 1. Promoting use of pipelines for transferring cooking gas instead of LPG cylinders which creates lots of pollution in its transportation only. 2. Partnering with farmers to generate electricity by installing wind turbines on their land.It can really reduce cost of getting clean energy. 3. Generating electricity from dividers on roads by installing solar panels there.it will be a leading edge as there is no need of acquiring land of others for its setup.

My idea is saving of electricity is better than the generating new energy, saving one unit electricity leads to give profit worth two units. There need awareness and emotion for the energy wastage this can be only possible if peoples start caring about the small-small electricity loss. Sir you started many Yojna and I think you should also start similar national Yojna like “Electricity Bachao Abhiyan” which will really work. These kinds of steps need less investment but impact will be more.

The domestic sector is consuming almost 25% of total production. Only Air-conditioning (AC) and Refrigerators eat more than 50% of total consumption in residential sector. This AC and refrigerators load can be reduced by more than 30% by using alternative method of AC which will work without electricity. If AC property can be provide in the houses by using construction materials or using some other smart materials that will help to save huge amount of electricity and reduce the CO2 emission.

Indias role in cop 21-should be- 1)focus on polluters pay principle only.because we cannot address our problems like poverty, hunger, increase in export,malnutrition, health under obligation.(2)focus on technology transfer if developed parties really want to reduce emissions(3)India should raise voice against developed countries for more contribution in GCF (4)try to bring solutions beyond international politics(5)our interest and development goals sho not be affected by any negotiation.
