Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, I am an 18-year-old college student, Betala Gayantika, and I humbly wish to bring to your attention an important matter regarding Responsible Pet Ownership and Public Safety. While efforts for stray dog shelters are commendable, the rising number of dog attacks also calls for a look at pet dogs and their owners. Recent tragic news, like the attack on a 6-year-old by a Pitbull, suggests a lack of control and training on the owner’s part. Welcoming an innocent life comes with a great responsibility to ensure they are properly trained and handled, especially powerful breeds. My humble suggestions: Mandatory Training: Pet owners should be required to properly train their dogs. First-Time Owners: Regulations should consider limiting aggressive breeds for first-time owners. Pet Store Education: Pet stores/breeders must provide education on breed-specific training. With utmost respect and hope for your kind considerations. Ever Grateful.
