I want our Indian high commissioners has to take this type of issues and help the countries in there difficult time or ask NRI to support. Because without IHC and local government we can not help those affected countries. we do not wait for America foot steps. We r biggest democracy in the world it our time to take initiatives and lead the world. Thx

A fundamental issue is that of dual citizenship. Many Indians would prefer not to give up their Indian citizenship and at the same time accept American citizenship. Having to choose between one or the other makes it a gut-wrenching decision. India should consider allowing dual citizenship - so many US Citizens would apply for it, and contribute more to India. The OCI status does not go the full distance as a full passport holder.

Dear Sir, I am from west Africa , currently Ebola is spreading in west Africa , what help can provide by Indian government to those affected countries any financial , medical, safety protective wares for Medical officers. Yesterday we celebrate our independence day at Indian house at Accra Ghana, and our Indian high commission has not mention any word about Ebola issues, or any support from Indian government, nor any support from NRI'S. only waiting to run away from the affected countries.

In my opinion the Embarkation form for travelers outside country should be removed as it only having the details of the passport. This procedure is a big hastle when we enter or leave country with kids who are sleeping. Instead at the immigration counter the officer can printout in a sheet of paper all the passport data and we can just sign in it during immigration check. I assume this formalities is purely for verification purposes. So it could be linked with ICIC card once implemented.

Immigration Working as an Expat in Singapore, I can avail Electronic Gate Clearance facility, but in my own country I have to fill-up form and stand in queue for hours. Why can't we atleast enter back in our country via electronic gate using biometric clearance? Just put a stamp immediately upon exit if required. Please implement a biometric based electronic clearance facility at all major airports to avoid huge queues at Immigration counters and avoid harassment by immigration officers.

The first ever thing to be done on this area is to educate all the existing staff of London Indian High-commission to behave professionally. There are numerous instances of unprofessional behaviour from these guys to people like us. Massive petitions were signed up and handed over to authorities in the past.

Indian Consular Service in Geneva provides very efficient service to Indians and other nationals. However one pain point is that they do not accept payments in the same facility and one has to go to a Post office to make the payment which is 500-600 meters away. Can this be improved and have the payment facility available in the Consulate office itself?
