Mygov Task of suggesting a PPP model for making our cities garbage free has been made in d form of a presentation. Main theme of PPP model is proposed with 'waste to energy' plant using municipal solid waste as fuel. In a way, THIS PPP MODEL MAKES WEALTH OUT OF WASTE by generating precious electricity & in the process clears the waste in our big cities! This model truly symbolises the nation building since this PPP model of waste to energy plant is fuelled by every home....every one !

A need for a compact bio-gas machine which can be installed in every house. To encourage houses instal bio-gas machine subsidy on LPG gas to be considered. This will enable houses to use by-products as manure and encourage farming in available spaces. This will clean the environment and free from diseases like malaria etc. It should be made mandatory for all Flats to install Bio-gas machines. In gated communities install a common machine and arrange for collection/segregation

Women Mohalla Smiti's can do it very easily. Select 7 Women from each Mohalla. Perform One week workshop to train them with Emotional Management Theory. Provide them requisite material/ equipments i/c. with One Riksha+ Riksha Driver+One Labour. Mahilla Samiti will supervise all activities. The salary of Riksha Driver & Labour will be borne by Residents-( Rs.100/- contribution per house) of that Mohalla. One Riksha Driver+ One Labour can handle 200 Houses easily & both will have job. .

Making Biogas from Biodegradable waste is a commercially worthy process. The issue with it is present method of collecting Garbage doesn't separate Biodegradable vs others. Companies should be called to install biodegradable waste dumping points. And those companies should be provided cost free right to produce biogas from that waste. Dustbins are a rare thing in India except Metro Cities. At least 50% will put it in dustbins if they are there.

1. Set up of plants to generate bio-gas and to produce natural fertilizers. This will reduce subsidy on chemical fertilizer. Also biogas can be used for electricity generation and can be sold/used for local govt. bodies. Multilayer decomposition system can be built to face soace prob 2. PPP can be done to generate electricity from the waste. but bio-gas is much sustainable option than this 3. Scrap current non performing waste collectors/contractors. Make the waste as cash generating assets.

Educate people for Civic sense. No Throwing of garbage outside. Provide them recycleable and garbage big plastic cans. People need to understand what is recycleable and what is waste/garbage and use the white or black big plastic cans properly. All done/collected by Private players with a charge of Rs 100 to every family.

The best thing to do with control of Solid Waste is to make people aware with the help of NGOs, Consultants, Known personalities, Digital Media etc. The PPP model should be implemented at various stage for Solid Waste, some are: 1. Collection of Waste at Source 2. Segregation of waste at Transfer Station 3. Transportation 4. Co-Generation or Composting of Biodegradable waste 5. 4Rs (Recycle, Reuse, Reclaim, reduce) 6. Treatment It is must to aware people to segregate waste at source
