यातायात की समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए स्मार्ट सुझाव दें। इस समाधान में अभिनव डिजिटल प्रौद्योगिकी, प्रशासनिक और आर्किटेक्चरल समाधान और कार्य प्रवाह की डिजाइन का प्रयोग प्रतियोगिता में वर्णित समस्याओं को हल करने के लिए किया जा सकता है, लेकिन यह इसी तक सीमित नहीं हो सकता है।
इस श्रेणी में प्रतिभागी को शॉर्ट-लिस्टिंग में सक्षम होने के लिए पुछे गए सभी सवालों के उत्तर के साथ पूर्ण विवरण भी प्रस्तुत किया जाना चाहिए।
प्रश्न-
1. अपने घर के बाहर यातायात से निपटने के लिए एक स्मार्ट समाधान या नवीन प्रौद्योगिकी का सुझाव दें।
2. एक मोटर गाड़ी में 4 व्यक्ति तथा एक सार्वजनिक बस में 40 व्यक्ति आराम से बैठ सकते है। एक स्मार्ट सिटी में कैसे कार और बस की जरूरतों को संतुलन किया जा सकता हैं?
3. अभिनव प्रौद्योगिकियों तथा स्मार्ट समाधान के उपयोग के माध्यम से अपने शहर में सुरक्षित और अधिक आरामदायक बस यात्रा कैसे कर सकते हैं?
प्रविष्टि की समय सीमा
• प्रविष्टियों को mygov.in पोर्टल द्वारा शनिवार, 20 जून, 2015 से 23.59 घंटे (11:59) पर ऑनलाइन प्रस्तुत किया जा सकता है।
मूल्यांकन
प्रविष्टियों का मूल्यांकन निम्नलिखित मानदंडों के आधार पर किया जाएगाः
• मत क्षमता (50%)
• अभिनव (50%)
पुरस्कार
प्रत्येक श्रेणी में दो विजेताओं को निम्नलिखित राशि के नकद पुरस्कार के साथ-साथ, स्मार्ट सिटी मिशन के लॉन्च पर प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा 25 जून 2015 को विज्ञान भवन, नई दिल्ली में एक प्रशस्ति पत्र से सम्मानित किया जाएगाः
• प्रथम पुरस्कार - 40,000 रु.
• द्वितीय पुरस्कार - 25,000 रु.
विजेता सुझाव को कार्यान्वयन के समाधान के रूप में 100 स्मार्ट शहरों के साथ साझा किया जाएगा तथा पायलट परियोजनाओं के लिए भी इस सुझाव पर विचार किया जाएगा।
• इस श्रेणी में प्रतिभागी को शॉर्ट-लिस्टिंग में सक्षम होने के लिए पुछे गए सभी सवालों के उत्तर के साथ पूर्ण विवरण भी प्रस्तुत किया जाना चाहिए।
• प्रत्येक श्रेणी के लिए प्रतिभागियों द्वारा प्रस्तुत प्रविष्टियों का मुल्याकंन स्वतंत्र रूप से और योग्यता के आधार पर किया जाएगा। एक से अधिक श्रेणी में शॉर्ट-लिस्टिंग के मामले में, एक भागीदार को केवल एक श्रेणी के लिए ही पुरस्कार राशि प्राप्त होगी।
• प्रत्येक उत्तर की लंबाई 250 या उससे कम शब्दों में होनी चाहिए।

in our city,
in municipal buses there is camera and mike system with driver and conductor. entering door is not at back side, it is at middle side, which minimise gathering of people at back side which causes problem to backside vehicles.
city buses have openinig and closing of doors with butten at driver. it minimises accidents of passengers hang at door side.
if there is any rally of bikes, they should get 10 rs ticket of traffic problem.

every govt office have to start their own office buses like companies. so that every employee come at correct time and go out and use of personal vehicles will be minimised by compulsion to every employee.

Sir,1.Un necessary halts on highways specially T-Roads are the reason of congesstion.Should be fined for this.
2.Public transport system should be improved so that people prefer Public Transport than their own vehicle.
3GPS should be installed in public transport and stations from where people should get information about traffic jams. Mobile app in this regard can solve the problem.

1.Install Electronic Traffic Congestion Alert Measage Boards at vantage points to alert drivers to take alternative routes and reduce further congestion
2. Build dedicated Cycle lanes in smart cities and encourage avoiding cars and buses through reward points. Dedicated lanes for buses and cars and strict enforcement od "no parking" rules
3.Electronically link all bus occupancy rates and registration of passengers waiting at busstops to a central software which can be linked to a mobile app.

there should be speker system with traffic police and connected with divider points, with which police can tell that how much time you will remain in neutral position, rather use horizontal ways to go.

To install Cameras in all the signal points ,Hidden cameras on High ways to monitor speed and Traffic Violations .All the vehicles Two wheelers to Heavy Vehicles should renew the permit yearly once where in the fitness test is mandatory which can be done through private agency .Incase of fines which will be tagged to the number plate to be cleared on renewal.Introduction of Black Points system.

To improve traffic flow in cities, intersections need to be redsigned taking into account the need for all users. The road width needs to be increased and where needed turning lanes need to be added. Pedestrians need to be recognised and provided for in the intersection design, as should be bus stops (before or after the intersection). Signal cycle timing should be less (typically 90 to 120 seconds) so that long queues dont build up. I have done my PhD in this area and am anxious to help.

Pedestrian facilities need to be improved. We need to enforce standards based on the classification of the roads. Footpaths need to be wider on major roads; and there should be no encroachments. Also, the height of the footpath should be 4 to 6 inches only so that elderly and young children can also use them.
We could start by ensuring that the last 250 m of each school in cities has proper footpaths. This will help ensure the safety of children and also improve the pedestrian network.
