Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

The smart city shall be developed in such a way that no speed breakers on any roads, Efficient waste disposal system and generation of power from the same etc

There should be an alert system (mobile user in surrounding are or city) through SMS for emergency like flood, natural calamity and also for stolen vehicle. this can help police to catch the thief.

Does becoming a Smart City mean that Culture & Heritage of the City will be impacted and only new technologies will be visible?

स्मार्ट सिटी मिशन में एक योजना है क्षेत्रानुसार विकास जिसके अंतर्गत किसी एक या एक से अधिक क्षेत्र का चयन कर वंहा की धरोहर को संरक्षित रखते हुवे पुराने स्ट्रक्चर को तोड़ कर स्मार्ट सिटी के अनुरूप नया स्वरूप प्रदान करना .

If Bilaspur is chosen in the Top 20, then by when will we start seeing the changes in the City? By when will the projects start implementation

A separate building for fruits and vegetable vendors, on rental. No street side selling should be allowed.
